The Reva MCP Server lets AI assistants like Claude work with your Reva data through the Model Context Protocol. Ask questions about your reviews, ratings, units and guests in plain language, and the assistant queries Reva on your behalf.

Read-only
The MCP server currently exposes read-only tools. Connected assistants can look up and summarize your data, but cannot change anything in your Reva account.

Requirements

A Reva account with API product access (the same access that unlocks the REST API). Contact hello@joinreva.com if you're not sure whether your plan includes it.
An MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Claude (web, desktop and mobile), Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and most modern MCP clients qualify.

How to connect

There are no API keys to copy. Reva uses OAuth: your MCP client registers itself, sends you to Reva to sign in with your normal credentials, and you approve the connection on a consent screen. Access can be revoked at any time.

Claude (web & desktop)

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Enter https://mcp.joinreva.com and click Add.
Click Connect: a Reva window opens. Sign in if needed, review the permissions and click Authorize.
In any chat, enable the Reva connector from the tools menu and start asking questions.

Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan.

Claude Code

Then run /mcp inside a session, select reva and choose Authenticate to complete the browser sign-in.

Cursor and other MCP clients

Add the server to your client's MCP configuration:

The client discovers Reva's OAuth endpoints automatically and opens a browser window for sign-in on first use.

Authentication

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE: the industry-standard authorization flow. Clients register automatically via Dynamic Client Registration; you never handle credentials.
Short-lived tokens: access tokens expire after 2 hours and refresh automatically. Nothing long-lived is stored in your MCP client.
Your permissions, exactly: a connected assistant sees precisely what your Reva user sees: only companies where you have API access, and only the units in your cohort if your account is restricted.

Account discovery

Tool	What it does
`list_companies`	The companies your user can access. Start here: most other tools take a `company_id`.
`list_channels`	A company's review channels (Airbnb, Vrbo, Google, Booking.com, …).
`list_nodes`	A company's unit groupings (regions, buildings, cohorts).
`list_units`	A company's units, filterable by beds, active status and PMS id. Paginated.

Ratings & insights

`get_company_ratings`	Review count, average rating and replied count for a company. Filterable by channel and date range.
`list_unit_ratings`	Every unit ranked by average rating with review counts. Worst-first or best-first, all-time or trailing 12 months. Refreshed daily.
`get_unit_ratings`	One unit's review count and average, filterable by channel and dates.
`get_trending_tags`	Counts of positive and negative guest sentiment tags (cleanliness, communication, location, …). Defaults to the last 12 months.
`get_staff_performance`	Housekeeping / inspection / maintenance workers ranked by review outcomes. Requires the Breezeway integration.

Listings

`list_unit_listings`	All units with their per-channel listings and URLs. Paginated.

Reservations

`get_reservation`	A reservation's booking dates and unit — reviews reference their `reservation_id`, so assistants can look up the stay behind a review.

Limits

Rate limit: 60 requests per minute per connection.
Pagination: review and unit lists return 20 items per page; unit rankings return 100 per page.
Freshness: unit rankings are recomputed nightly; everything else is queried live.

Managing connected apps

See and disconnect every app you've authorized at app.joinreva.com/oauth/authorized_applications (also linked from Account → Integrations). Revoking an app signs it out immediately.

Troubleshooting

"Authentication failed" or repeated sign-in prompts: the connection was revoked or expired. Remove the connector in your client and add it again.
"You are not authorized to perform this action": your Reva user doesn't have API product access for that company. Contact hello@joinreva.com.
Unit rankings come back empty: rankings are computed nightly; a newly connected company populates after its first overnight refresh.
Trending tags for periods older than a year: pass an explicit earlier min_date; the tool defaults to the last 12 months.
